Transforming Oxford City Athletics Club with Perfectly Green’s Tough Colours

The grandstand at Oxford City Athletics Club had suffered significant wear and tear over the years, particularly due to spikes on footwear. The original plywood flooring, especially in the stair aisles, was damaged and no longer safe or visually appealing. From the initial site visit, John quickly realised that replacing the damaged plywood was essential. However, he needed a durable surface that could accept a 5mm spike without being bulky or posing a trip hazard. Initially, he considered using something like MondoTrack, a popular option for athletic surfaces. However, this solution was not only budget-busting but also impractical to handle by hand between the seats.

John then discovered Perfectly Green online and explored our extensive range of products. After detailed discussions with our technical department, he decided to use our Tough Colours blue artificial grass as the wear surface. The plan was to wet-bond Tough Colours to the new plywood, creating a robust and visually appealing solution.
