The Al Shira'aa Hickstead Derby Day - Huracan artificial grass
Published: 19 June 2023
First held in 1961, the Hickstead Derby is one of the most historic and popular classes in showjumping. The course is regarded as 'fearsome' with competitiors facing obstacles such as the 10ft 6in slope of the Derby Bank, the tough Devils Dyke combination, and one of the widest water jumps in the world.
For the 2023 Al Shira'aa Hickstead Derby Meeting event, Hickstead decided to transform the Members Champagne Bar and Terrace and selected our popular and excellent 30mm Huracan artificial grass. Huracan is popular for a variety of reasons, including superb specification and value for money, real authenticity in terms of visual appearance, and excellent resilence and 'spring back' qualities. Huracan is also used in gardens and by playground contractors on large lay area projects.
Kate Atkinson, Events and Hospitaility Co-Ordinator, was the contact between Hickstead Ltd and Perfectly Green, providing a professional level of guidance and assistance throughout. On behalf of All England Jumping Course, Hickstead, Kate says "Perfectly Green were extremely helpful and informative when deciding on which product to use, and made the whole process easy from start to finish. Professional, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. We are delighted with the end result - our Champagne Bar and Terrace has been transformed"
We're very proud to have been involved with this project and we look forward to an exciting competition later this week!
